Grading
Belt Ranking in the Don Jitsu Ryu System
In the Don Jitsu Ryu we make every effort to maintain the integrity of the original belt ranking system, for students and Instructors. Members under Black Belt are graded every 6 months by our Founder Professor Don Jacob. Students must be recommended by their Sensei after having demontrated the grading requirements and the required training hours. Discipline and effort are of the utmost importance.
Following is a chart showing the average training time it would take to achieve a belt in an authentic system.
